The Vermont Municipal Clerk's Association was established
November 6, 1935 at 10:00 am in the City Hall Auditorium of Burlington, VT.
President: Chas. G. Braley- St. Johnsbury
Vice President: G.L. Adams- Marlboro
Secretary: M. Zoe Farr- Monkton
Treasurer: E.B. Corley- Burlington
Executive Committee: L.A. Webster- Whiting; together with the
elected officers
Legislative Committee: L.E. Grow- Westford, Chase. E Adams-
Waterbury, Mrs. Elsie C. Smith- Cambridge
The Officers were elected to serve one year, and the membership fee was
only $1.00!
How times have changed. Treasurer's were voted into the Association
during the 10th meeting June 3, 1947, and our membership fee is now
$25.00. Our current membership is a staggering 570 people!
We meet annually, the third Monday in September, in various locations
throughout the state. We are the hub of local government.
